SNOWLINE......

"No," she said, "no further mention of snow."
"I'm not listening," she continued. "If it has the S-word,
I just don't want to hear it, not when Spring's here."
"But this is about choices, confusing choices," I countered,
"And how to decide the best course of action."
"Heh," she was quick to respond, "If it has snow in it,
then the best choice is simply the opposite direction."

HAWKIN'.......

"That can't be right, it just can't be," she stated.
"But you just said it, you said RIGHT, and it is right," I replied.
"The hawk lands on a tree-branch, the first head turn is
always to the right, it just is," I explained.
"No," she said, "It has to be a 50-50 shot, right or left."
"No," I countered, "Up here, in the northern hemisphere,
the first turn is always to the right."
But she didn't hear me, she was walking away too quickly,
walking to the right, 'hawkin' as people say.

Dog Gone It........

"I can't find her anywhere" she said.
"I've looked and looked, and she's gone," she added.
"Maybe she's out in the car," I said.
"Oh don't be silly," she said, "She can't open the door."
"Not without the keys," I said."

Bankrupt.......

"It's not gold, but maybe silver?" she asked.
"Not even silver.  Possibly just quartz," I replied.
"It's got to be worth something," she insisted.
"No," I responded,  "It's not even worth enough
to pay attention, when that attention itself
costs a lot of pretty pennies."

No Wake Zone.......

"Quiet, please, " I said.    "She's still sleeping."
"All she does is sleep," she replied.
"That's not true," I said.   "All those other times, she's just napping."
"Like a power nap?" she asked.
"Exactly," I said.   "She needs her strength to really sleep."

LEAVE A NOTE......

"What were you doing in the forest?" she asked.
"Oh, just leaving a note," I replied.
"A note in the woods? " she questioned.
And she followed that with, "Was it a big red note, by chance?"
"As a matter of fact, it was big and red," I said.
Seems she got my message.

LAPIS LAZULI TREE

"No," she said, "it does not exist."
"Yes it does," I countered. "I've seen the blue leaves."
I tried to explain, that strange science stuff about the
gemstones in the soill, the tree roots taking up the
blue color and producing those blue leaves.
But she was insistent.
I showed her the picture.
"You just photo-shopped that!" she cried.
"No I didn't," I said. "It's a real Lapis Lazuli Tree!!"
