Too much time spent on the computer.
The sun's shining, the wind's flying.
Chasing tails in the spring light.
Firing up some outdoor power tools.

Turkey on Deck!!

Too much snow still around for baseball.
But that doesn't stop a wild turkey from
getting on deck, prepping to be next
batter up, only to get quickly wiser,
turn and leave.
Some kind of deep lesson there.
Wait for it.  But don't wait too long.

The last Mozart opera.
Clouds of Darkness fill the sky
Sarastro steals Pamina, the daughter of
the wicked queen of the night
Tamino to the rescue, with his flute.
Ahh, if it were only so easy now.

Track Lighting.....

It had all the appearances of a quiet evening.
No strange sounds, no eyes in the dark,
No barking, not even a howl.
Come morning, tracks everywhere.
How could we have missed the party?

The continuing search for that special someone
often leads to strange surprises on the other
side of the fence.
She does have that look in her eyes.
A look you can't get away from.
Go for a ride. Leave the barn door open.

Holiday remembered......

The wreaths on the doors
The school bell,  green garland'd
snow blown inside the barn
red berries amongst the balsam & pine
frozen apples in the tree
the wooden shingles dusted in white
the holiday, remembered.
